What Do We Do

CAC-Nepal is focused on these major program areas

Prevent HIV and support those living with it, focusing on female sex workers, their clients, and other vulnerable women. The program combines outreach, education, and clinical services to reduce infections. It also addresses STIs through screening, treatment, and counseling. Our integrated approach enhances sexual and reproductive health for at-risk communities.

CAC-Nepal promotes and protects the rights of individuals through advocacy, legal support, and community engagement. We empower marginalized communities to claim and exercise their rights. The organization campaigns for gender-equitable legal reforms, including equal citizenship and property rights. Advocacy training builds local leadership and strengthens voices for justice and equality.

CAC-Nepal combats human trafficking by raising awareness, supporting victims, and advocating for stronger policies. Programs focus on prevention, early identification, and referral to shelters and legal aid. Community education empowers individuals to resist exploitation. Collaborative efforts aim to create a safer society and protect vulnerable women and children.

Empower women and girls with skills in leadership, advocacy, financial management, and business planning. Trainings also include digital and financial literacy to enhance independence and economic resilience. Community-based capacity building strengthens local organizations. The initiative equips participants to actively contribute to community development and socio-economic transformation.

Sexual and Reproductive Health

CAC-Nepal conducts a wide range of awareness and service delivery programs designed to address key health issues such as Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), HIV and AIDS, and reproductive health rights. These services are delivered through a combination of outreach initiatives, clinical services, and referral mechanisms, ensuring that vulnerable and underserved populations have access to the care and information they need.

Empowering Women and Girls through Education to Prevent Child Labor and Exploitation

One of the flagship initiatives of CAC-Nepal, it supports formal and non-formal education to prevent child labor and sexual exploitation. Programs provide school materials, uniforms, and financial assistance to underprivileged children. Adult literacy and digital skills programs help women enhance education and livelihood opportunities.

Vocational skill based and Income-Generating Programs

CAC-Nepal equips marginalized women and girls with market-relevant vocational and entrepreneurial skills. Training areas include tailoring, beauty services, computer literacy, driving, agriculture, and animal husbandry. Participants receive guidance on business development, market access, and microfinance. Programs aim to reduce economic dependency and promote self-reliance and dignity.

Gender-Based Violence (GBV): Prevention and Response

CAC-Nepal works to prevent GBV and support survivors through awareness, advocacy, and survivor-centered services. The Crisis Response Centre offers medical care, legal support, counseling, and short-term shelter for FSW survivors. Programs strengthen local response mechanisms and community capacity. The initiative fosters safe, inclusive communities free from violence and discrimination.

Research and Study

Research and study is one of the key program components of CAC-Nepal. The organization believes that effective and meaningful programs must be based on real evidence.
