Action against trafficking in person
Trafficking is a severe issue in Nepal, especially for impoverished women and children. CAC-Nepal mobilizes and coordinates local and regional initiatives to raise awareness about trafficking and advocate for policy formulation and enforcement to protect vulnerable groups.
Human trafficking remains a critical human rights challenge in Nepal, disproportionately affecting impoverished women and children who are often lured or forced into exploitative situations. In response, CAC-Nepal has developed a comprehensive program focused on preventing trafficking, protecting victims, and promoting systemic change.
Through the different program, CAC-Nepal mobilizes and coordinates efforts at the local, regional, and national levels to address both the root causes and the consequences of trafficking.

Our main activities includes;
- Community Awareness and Education: Conducting targeted awareness campaigns in high-risk communities to educate individuals, families, and youth about the tactics used by traffickers and the dangers of trafficking. These campaigns utilize workshops, online programs, school outreach, and community dialogues to spread accurate information and build local capacity to resist exploitation.
- Policy Advocacy and Legal Reform: Engaging with government bodies, civil society organizations, and law enforcement agencies to advocate for stronger anti-trafficking laws, effective implementation of existing policies, and increased accountability for traffickers. CAC-Nepal contributes to the development and enforcement of policies that protect vulnerable populations, with a special focus on gender and child sensitivity.
- Victim Identification and Referral: Supporting early identification of trafficking survivors and at-risk individuals, and linking them with appropriate legal aid, shelter, psychosocial counseling, and reintegration services through a network of partners.
CAC-Nepal commits to ending human trafficking through a multi-pronged approach that combines prevention, protection, and policy advocacy. By working hand-in-hand with communities and stakeholders, the organization strives to build a safer, more just society for all.
