In, July 2004, CAC-Nepal worked with Plan Nepal on a Programme against Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (the CSEC Programme). This programme consisted of 'target group under 18 years, those under 18 years, who were subject to commercial sexual exploitation in the Bhaktapur District. CAC-Nepal then conducted workshops for these children which included leadership training, health and HIV and AIDS education, and information on their rights. Awareness raising workshops also targeted owners of hotels, carpet, garment and brick factories, the police and several community based organisations on the perils facing children at risk of sexual exploitation.
