Family Health International (FHI) & CAC-Nepal
CAC-Nepal has been in partnership with Family Health International (FHI) since 2002 working on a HIV and AIDS awareness, prevention and care programme. This partnership has grown and expanded and now includes two Drop-in-Centres (DIC's), one in Bhaktapur and one in Kathmandu and a staff team of 43. CAC-Nepals partnership is part of FHI's ASHA Project.

CAC-Nepal Established Drop-In-Centre (DIC) in October2009at Lokhanthali, Bhaktapur.
Finding a mass gap in reaching target population of female sex worker (FSWs) from Chuendevi DIC Bhaktapur.CAC-Nepal started its new Drop in center (DIC) office at Lolanthali to tackle the potential high-risk areas through its HIV prevention programs and STI and CT services.
Currently, within the Kathmandu we are running HIV/AIDS and STI prevention programs among female sex workers (FSWs) and within Bhaktapur districts, we are conducting HIV/prevention program along with Integrated Health services (HIS) which includes STI, CT, EPC services. CAC-Nepal also conduct DOTS clinic at Bhaktapur District.
CAC-Nepal successfully running the utilization and improve the quality of DIC services among FSWs in DIC of CAC-Nepal, Jamal, Kathmandu from November 2009.
Insufficient in utilization of DIC services by female sex workers in our DIC. CAC-Nepal started its next step To Increase the utilization and improve the quality of Drop in Center (DIC) services among Female Sex Workers (FSW) in CAC-Nepal, Jamal,Kathmandu.In order to increases a utilization of DIC we made a formation of DIC sub-community. Promotion of DIC services by field staff was increased. Various kinds of entertaining activates were in practice (Dohari competition, beauty parlor facilities) Provide the message to the FSWs in a structured way by DIC operator (monthly action plan, encourage all FSW visiting DIC to Participate in at least one activity. which have increased the utilizations of DIC services.
